We pray and we plead, we cry and we insist. We attach our time schedules. We search and we inquire, and we wait, with our toe tapping and eyes darting the horizon- waiting for the manifestation of prayer to appear.
Wonder of wonder and Glory to God - sometimes....sometimes, we get to walk into the Promised Land that He prepared for us- and it looks like we imagined. All the tears and trials were preparation for this day. The journey and the battles all prepared your heart to inhabit your Promised Land. As we begin to get comfortable in the land that was prepared for us by a Holy God- human nature gets comfortable.
Do we offer Him our first fruits from the land that He brought us to? Do we offer back to Him, in a basket, a collection of our very best harvest?
I think all too often, the urgency of the prayer diminishes as we stretch our bodies in the glorious sunshine of our own, personal oasis flowing with milk and honey. We dip our toes in the cool water and we can worship the blessings, rather than He whom the blessing flows.
How do you offer your first fruits back to the Lord?
A mixed-media, creative explosion, of unbridled creativity.... where we seek after the Heart of the Father, glorifying Him, through paint and pen!
