22 A good person leaves an inheritance for
their children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

23 An unplowed field produces food for the
poor,
but injustice sweeps it away.

24 Whoever spares the rod hates their
children,
but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

25 The righteous eat to their hearts’
content,
but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry.
but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry.
The righteous eat until their hearts
content. We get to eat of the grace and
mercies of our King every day. We get to
partake in the food of our souls that fills us to overflowing with His living
water. KJV says, “The righteous eateth to
the satisfying (abundance , fullness) of their soul.” Sigh, isn’t that just an amazing thought to
just get lost in today? That His loving kindness refreshes and renews each morning.
We can partake, and partake and partake- filling our hearts and our minds with
Him.
The stomach (the seat of hunger and
mental faculties) of the wicked goes
hungry (to be without). Those that are
hostile towards God do not know of His nature and of His grace. His mercies that are fresh each morning are
not seen by the wicked. Imagine the
parched, dry bones that exist without living water.
We can pray for those that are hostile
towards God. They are still His
children, and He loves them and desires that they come into relationship. We
can pray for our leaders, that they come to eat fully of the goodness of the
Lord. We can pray for our candidates
that they know and revela the nature of God in all that they do. We can pray for those that surround our
candidates, that they would be God fearing men and women and that they would
have the ears of the higher ups, to speak truth and wisdom into their
ears. We can pray that the schemes of
the enemy would fall apart, rather than take root within our governmental systems.
We can always pray!
